We have grown the spectacular Yucca campestris for many years and prize it for the soft, hairy, narrow foliage to 2' long that forms a dramatic 4' wide architectural clump. The foliage appears to have white edges due to the upturned nature of the leaves. In spring, the non-trunking clumps of Yucca campestris are topped with short 2' spikes of white bells. These plants were grown from a Yucca Do seed collection in Lea County, New Mexico, between Carlsbad and Hobbs at 4,000' elevation where it grows in roadside sand dunes.
