Uvularia perfoliata is a North American native perennial, related to the more commonly grown Solomon's seal, Polygonatum. Uvularia perfoliata forms a stoloniferous patch of 10" tall, wiry stalks, adorned with small, finger-sized perfoliate (stems runs through the middle of the leaf) leaves. The stalks are adorned in mid-April (NC) with light yellow, terminally-produced, dangling flowers. For us, Uvularia perfoliata is often dormant by late summer...perfect for naturalizing in the woodland garden.
