(aka: Sedum ternatum A1AL-007) Sedum ternatum is another of our superb native sedums. In the wild, Sedum ternatum grows in rich, rocky woodlands from Maine south to Mississippi and west to Missouri...must be an "M" thing. Despite being native in shade, we have had great luck growing it in our part sun rock garden. The spreading rosettes of round, fleshy, lime-green ternate (arranged in threes) leaves form a flat clump up to 3' wide. The clumps are topped with 4-6" branched flower spikes of outstanding pure white flowers from early April through May (in NC). Our collection is from 680' elevation in Clair County, Alabama.
