We've been growing this Jim Anderson sport of Hosta 'Cheatin' Heart' since 2001, and in that time, it has become one of our favorite small hostas. Finally, we have enough to share. Our parent plants have never exceeded 6" in height x 8" in width. The chartreuse-yellow leaves have an unusual central pattern of green that takes up 80% of the leaf area and the green is then overlain with a white frosting. Hosta 'Silver Threads and Golden Needles' is topped with 8" stalks of light lavender flowers in late spring...a treat for low-flying hummingbirds.
