This wonderful new hosta is one of the best sports to be discovered from Hosta 'Halcyon'...the reverse pattern of Hosta 'June'. This Patricia Scolnik discovery adds a nice creamy-yellow margin to the attractive blue leaves of the parent. The result is a 3' wide clump of blue leaves with a 0.5" border of creamy yellow that ages to white by season's end. The clumps are topped with 2' tall scapes of light lavender flowers in midsummer...a hummingbird fiesta. We think Hosta 'First Frost' will become a long-term favorite of hosta growers worldwide.
