We have been very impressed with Dianthus 'Kahori', a 2010 introduction from the international plant breeding company Fides-Oro. Dianthus 'Kahori', which is Japanese for fragrance, is a heavy-flowering selection with good rebloom...the cooler the summer, the better rebloom. Dianthus 'Kahori' makes an 8" tall compact mound of grey-green foliage topped with an abundance of medium pink, deliciously sweet flowers starting in May and continuing sporadically through most of the summer. As with most dianthus, full sun and well-drained soils are key to success.
