Crinum bulbispermum 'Orange River Basin' is a form of the extremely winter hardy Crinum bulbispermum from South Africa's Orange River area at around 9,000' elevation. Crinum bulbispermum 'Orange River Basin' forms a lovely non-offsetting clump of glaucous blue foliage. Mature bulbs are topped from May through August (NC) with 30" spikes of tubular, outfacing white flowers with a rosy red throat. Although Crinum bulbispermum is incredibly drought tolerant, growing season moisture is required for good flowering.
