Hosta 'Lederhosen' (H. Benedict NR)

Hosta 'Lederhosen' (H. Benedict NR)
Light ShadeZone: 3-8 18" tall Origin: Hybrid

Web-Only! Hosta 'Lederhosen' is one of the more unique hostas ever hybridized by the late Herb Benedict. This 18" tall x 3' wide clump is composed of thick rubbery, ruffled, blue-green leaves, which reminded Herb of leather britches (Lederhosen). Anyone who would name one hosta 'Little Stiffy' and another 'Nooner', only makes one wonder about the real story behind 'Lederhosen'. In late summer, the clumps are topped with stalks of large, fragrant, light lavender flowers. I'll bet you never dreamed leather britches could smell this good. You won't even need a label for this unique hosta. Pot size: 2 qt. (1.892 L)
