This 1999 Darrell Probst introduction is named after the late Betty Valentine, a rock gardener from Berlin, Connecticut. This E. x youngianum selection is always one of our favorites in the spring garden when the 10" tall clump is smothered in late March with dozens of flower laden stalks, each flower composed of purple sepals, highlighted by white spurs and white cups...a truly excellent and very cute selection.
