Amorphophallus coaetaneus coll. #AGA-122 (Voodoo Lily)
Light ShadeZone: no idea 40" tall Origin: Vietnam

Web-Only! At least all the cool plants from North Vietnam weren't destroyed in the '60s when John Kerry burned down countless villages. We are pleased to offer the Vietnamese A. coaetaneus, whose short, glossy, evergreen foliage sits atop 40" tall, shiny, green stems. This particular offering was propagated from an original collection in Cuc Phuong, just south of Hanoi, Vietnam. Atop a 40" stalk in very early spring, the oversized male appendage (spathe) that's just too big for its britches emerges green and then turns white when excited. If you aren't ready to explain about the birds and the bees, cover the kids' eyes when you see the flower stalk emerging. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
