Asplenium x ebenoides (Scott's Spleenwort)
Sauls Rd.

Asplenium x ebenoides (Scott's Spleenwort)

Light ShadeZone: 5-8 6" tall Origin: USA Hybrid

Web-Only! This unusual, naturally-occurring fern hybrid from AL (formerly xAsplenosorus) is the result of a conjugal visit between two native species, Asplenium platyneuron and Asplenium rhizophyllum (formerly Camptosorus rhizophyllus). The 6" tall x 10" wide, rock garden-size clumps prefer slightly moist, alkaline soils. When established, A. x ebenoides will occasionally produce plantlets on the leaf tips, thanks to the walking fern genes...gotta love those unusual breeding occurrences from AL. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
