Helianthus angustifolius 'First Light' PP 13,150 (Dwarf Swamp Sunflower)

SunZone: 5-9a 48" tall Origin: USA

You are sure to love this Keith Hammett (of New Zealand) selection of our US native Helianthus angustifolius. Instead of the typical 10' tall specimen, Helianthus 'First Light' forms a nice compact clump of fuzzy, linear leaves, topped from late September through October with terminal spikes of 2" bright yellow-orange daisies. Frankly, it should have been called "last light," but I guess it's one of those southern hemisphere things. Regardless, we have long needed a more compact swamp sunflower...rejoice! Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
