Amorphophallus napalensis (Voodoo Lily) slide #17395

Amorphophallus napalensis (Voodoo Lily)

Amorphophallus napalensis (Voodoo Lily)
Light ShadeZone: 7b-8, at least 36" tall Origin: Nepal

Web-Only! This native to India and Nepal has proven to be one of the easiest to grow and most reliable amorphs in our garden. You'll love the 3' tall, fleshy tan-and-black patterned petiole...especially if you are a closet petiolephile. At the top of each petiole sits a radial leaf, resembling a miniature palm tree. For us, A. napalensis has remained solitary, unlike the spreading A. konjac. Once the bulb is large enough to flower, the flower will emerge in late June on an 18" stalk topped with a cute, artificial-looking green shell with an anatomical member emerging from the base...guaranteed to be the hit at your next aroid party! Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
