What originated in a USDA seed bank for forage crops (via Woods Nursery in Pennsylvania, then Hoffman Nursery in NC), has made the transformation into one of the greatest new additions to the ornamental grass lineup. This vigorous, heat-loving, deer-resistant Pennisetum orientale form from Pakistan makes a border-sized, upright, arching clump to 4.5' tall.
