Fargesia denudata is one of the little-known bamboo species that has done exceptionally well in our heat-tolerant bamboo trials. This clumping species which hails from 6,000'-10,000' in Northern Sichuan and Southern Gansu provinces of China has made a 8' tall clump of strongly arching canes in 5 years.
