This delightful native to alkaline soils from southwest PA to the NC mountains makes a wonderful evergreen groundcover in the woodland garden. The dark green cordate leaves adorn the spreading stems, which are topped in late spring (late May in NC) with 5" tall spikes of blue-lavender, skullcap-like flowers. Although Meehan's wood mint prefers slightly moist soil, it is also very drought tolerant. Meehania is named for the late PA botanist Thomas Meehan. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
