Phlomis italica (Balearic Island Phlomis)

Sun to Part SunZone: 7b-10, at least 24" tall Origin: Balearic Islands

Web-Only! Phlomis italica has been a great performer in our trials, making a 2' tall x 5' wide sub-shrub, clothed with 3" hastate, hairy grey leaves and adorned in late spring with axillary whorls of mauvy-pink flowers. Rub the leaves and enjoy the aroma of fresh turpentine...yum, yum. This little known species has proven to be very easy to grow even in our humid climate. Good drainage and a hot location are ideal. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
