NEW! This easy to grow garden hybrid of Epimedium alpinum and E. pinnatum ssp. colchicum occurred in the Warley Place garden of the UK's Miss Willmott. Most folks found Miss Willmott a hateful sort, who never liked to share, so this epimedium only began to make the rounds after her demise. E. 'Ellen Willmott' makes a fast-growing evergreen patch to 3' wide in 6 years. The evergreen foliage is topped in spring with 15" tall flowers stalks, adorned with burnt orange flowers, highlighted by a yellow cup. The new foliage is also nicely flushed with purple.
