Epimedium 'Eco Select' (Fairy Wings)

We originally got this plant from collector Ozzie Johnson as E. sutchuenense, but its identity was later determined by Epimedium guru Darrell Probst to be a new unnamed species or natural hybrid. It has been offered by Don Jacobs as E. 'Eco Select', so we are using the only published valid cultivar name. The short stems on this slowly spreading species are composed of green leaves, well-mottled with purple in spring, and are adorned in late spring with 1' tall spikes of large, 1" wide, spider-like flowers with white backs and dark purple spurs.
