Baptisia sphaerocarpa 'Screamin' Yellow' (Screamin' Yellow Redneck Lupine)

Sun to Part SunZone: 5-9, at least 36" tall Origin: USA

New crop available 7-31-2008 Baptisia 'Screamin' Yellow' is a selection of B. sphaerocarpa from native plant guru Larry Lowman. Compared to our TX and OK collections, the leaves on this AK selection are slightly larger and more yellow-green. In our gardens, B. 'Screamin' Yellow' makes a 3' tall x 5' wide clump, topped in late April/early May with stunning 11" spikes of bright yellow flowers. For a drought-tolerant perennial and a great spring show, it don't get no better than this. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
