The 5" long narrow glaucous green allium-like foliage emerges in late winter, laying flat against the soil. Beginning for us in mid-March, the clumps are topped with 1" fluorescent azure-blue flowers. The slowly stoloniferous plants, spread to 2' wide patches in 5 years, flower for two months in our garden. I.
