Ipheion peregrinans 'Rolf Fiedler' (Rolf Fiedler Starflower)

Sun to Light ShadeZone: 7-10 5" tall Origin: Uruguay

Open House/Web-Only! (aka: Tristagma peregrinans) The easy-to-grow selection of Ipheion peregrinans is a true star of the winter rock garden. The 5" long narrow glaucous green allium-like foliage emerges in late winter, laying flat against the soil. Beginning for us in mid-March, the clumps are topped with 1" fluorescent azure-blue flowers. The slowly stoloniferous plants, spread to 2' wide patches in 5 years, flower for two months in our garden. I. 'Rolf Fiedler' is great when used with gold foliage or other golden flowered bulbs in early spring. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
