This cute FL endemic to very dry, sandy soils has proven to be another great cold-hardy palm. S. etonia is effectively a dwarf, subterranean, trunked S. palmetto with the same costapalmate leaves (the center of the leaf folds downward). S. etonia also has much smaller leaves with narrower leaf segments than either S. minor or S. palmetto. As the leaves age, expect small threadlike filaments to appear on the leaves...great for sewing if you find yourself on a central FL sand dune without a needle and thread. These are true S. etonia and not the S. minor that we mistakenly offered a few years ago. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
