This popular Japanese selection has been slow to reach the US, so we are glad to help it along. The deciduous, clumping E. 'Tama-no-gempei' emerges in spring with attractive purple-tinted foliage. The first of the purple-and-white bicolor flowers are held just above the foliage, but rise higher, eventually to 16" tall.
