Open House/Web-Only! Thanks to a collecting trip to Mongolia by the University of Nebraska, we now have a new addition to the world of shrubby bush clematis. C. fruticosa makes an erect shrubby plant clothed with rubbery, dark green foliage. In late summer, the clumps are topped with 1" yellow upside-down bell-shaped flowers, followed by attractive seed heads.
