Paeonia obovata (Woodland Peony)

Paeonia obovata (Woodland Peony)
Part Sun to Light ShadeZone: 4-8, possibly colder 18" tall Origin: China, Japan

We are thrilled to be able to offer one of the most sought-after plants for the woodland garden...the very rare Paeonia obovata. Similar to P. japonica, the stems of grey-green foliage arise in late spring to 18". Topping the stems are marble-sized buds that open to a lovely, single, dark rosy pink flower in mid-May (in NC). P. obovata is a great foliage textural contrast with hostas and ferns in the woodland garden. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
