Polygonatum biflorum var. commutatum (Giant Solomon's Seal)

Part Sun to ShadeZone: 4-9 72" tall Origin: USA

Emerging from a thick underground white rhizome resembling in shape, a former president's cigar, the 6' tall stalks of this native giant Solomon's seal emerge in late spring. Each arching stalk is clothed with large green leaves and adorned with wonderful white bell-like flowers hanging from below the stalks in May. Due to the larger proportions, it spreads proportionately faster, but is never invasive! These are vegetative propagations from an excellent clone shared by Raleigh gardener, Peg Fisher. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
