After doing the green, "scabiosa-like", rosette thing for the first year, every year thereafter you will find clusters of tall, airy, see-through, 50-70" stems topped with chrome-yellow flowers throughout the summer. After the blooms fade, the remaining floral parts retain the golden color. P. scabiosifolia is a great plant to blend in the garden, border, or to use in flower arrangements.
