This 2' tall heat and drought tolerant US native perennial has fuzzy, narrow green leaves clothing the upright stalks. A. tuberosa is often seen in the wild while traveling the highways of the east and midwest US during the early summer months. It is topped with 3" wide clusters of brilliant orange flowers, which are enjoyed by guess what... butterflies! The flowers are followed by unusual seed pods that burst open to spread their silk laden seed. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
